Calvin Coolidge’s statement provides a solution to all the problems we humans have created. It’s sad that our innovations and technological advances are being misinterpreted by us. We are digging our own grave with each and every milestone we are achieving. Yes, nature the only hope for a sustainable future is endangered. The very primary motive of technological advances is to provide solutions that benefit masses. However, to be true, it's one of the significant weapon of mass destruction after religion. Imagine, you have all the luxuries in your house, but your house lacks strong structural foundation. Sooner or later, if you don’t work on the foundation, your house is going to collapse taking all the luxuries you have. Now replace the house with planet earth and your luxuries with technical advances. Soon, everything is going to end up in vain if our actions aren't replaced by environmental conscious action. The sole reason for repeating this term" environmental conscious action" is to highlight it's importance and need at present.
It all started with Industrialization when our greed overtook our thinking capabilities. We produced more trying to satisfy the three pillars " population, production, and profit". All these would have resulted in an unimaginable resourceful, beautiful planet if three components were supplemented by a term called “environmental conscious thinking.” From designing to production, from quality control to logistics everything lacked this concept. We produced and produced looking at the abundant resource our nature provided, without bothering the end result. Numerous tragedies, world war, hunger, and migration presented a clear picture that, it’s biodiversity, ecosystem and humanity that is paying a hefty price because of our experiments with nature. It’s not wrong to assume after three decades of advancement, we are left with no solution but, to preserve what we have at present. Nature has its own way of providing solutions to our problems. The most applicable, practical and adaptable one is “closing the loop", i.e. before starting any action, make sure there is a happy ending to it. Consider this example of how nature manufactures life and recycles it in a sustainable manner.

“ The best thing to learn from nature is equality and patience". To achieve sustainability, it’s imperative to establish humanity first. We humans, on all grounds are proving to be a failure in conserving our biodiversity. The lakes are drying, the air is contaminated, there is a scarcity of food, water shortage and tears everywhere. How long we’ll fight for materialistic pleasures to fulfill our greeds. Nature is going to recycle us in the manner she wants, but she is patient and waiting for us to follow her footsteps.
Moral of the story is environmental conscious thinking applies to each and every action we perform in daily life. Sooner we adopt this thinking we’ll overcome the problem of “using more resources and giving back less in return to the nature”. Remember nature is the world bank of this planet and every loan we take we have to repay with interest.
